As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also known as Pink October. This global campaign is dedicated to increasing awareness about breast cancer, promoting early detection, and supporting those affected by the disease.
In this regard, an organization named MS Network has launched a digital campaign called #KnowYourRisk to spread awareness about breast cancer.
MS Network’s Chief Operating Officer, Karan Kumar, stated that they have been working indirectly on this serious issue for the past five years, but now it’s time to speak about it openly. Especially in workplaces, discussions on this topic are rare, even though it is crucial to have open conversations about it.
With 1 in 8 women diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime, awareness and early detection remain essential tools in the fight against this disease. Currently, the overall 5-year survival rate for breast cancer in India is around 60-70%. However, survival rates can be much higher (up to 90% or more) for women diagnosed at early stages, where the cancer is localized and can be treated effectively.
Our goal with #KnowYourRisk is to empower individuals with knowledge. When people understand the risks, they can take proactive measures to protect their health. Through this digital campaign, we aim to reach as many people as possible with this vital message.
In today’s era of communication and digital marketing, social media provides a platform that spans across all corners of the internet. With our communication platform, we strive to maximize our outreach and ensure that this important message reaches everyone, everywhere. Engagement begins with conversations. Until we talk about it, we can’t drive change! #KnowYourRisk
Speaking about this initiative, Anchal Sharma (3rd stage breast cancer survivor) Founder-MOH (Meals of Happiness), Can Heal Online & Can Heal Community, Tedx speaker, said Breast cancer was just one chapter in my story—it changed me, but it didn’t define me. It is not just a physical battle; it’s an emotional and mental journey.
Early detection and education are crucial. Through awareness campaigns like #KnowYourRisk, we can empower women to take control of their health and I hope this initiative inspires others to prioritize their well-being. MS Network has taken a powerful initiative to empower women with life-saving knowledge.
As a woman, I often feel that our voices aren’t heard enough, especially when it comes to health issues like breast cancer. It’s not just about spreading awareness; it’s about starting taking, discussing about these critical issues irrespective of gender biasness, said by Jainsi Juneja, PR executive, MS Network.
Through initiatives like #KnowYourRisk, MS Network remains committed to empowering everyone with vital knowledge. As a global communication agency, MS Network strives to reach diverse audiences, spreading awareness and fostering conversations about health and well-being across borders and communities.
Importantly, MS Network doesn’t limit its efforts to October. On the 13th of every month, the agency runs offline and online #KnowYourRisk campaigns, continuing its mission to educate and promote breast cancer awareness year-round. This consistent effort reflects MS Network’s dedication to making a long-lasting impact beyond Pink October.
